The company was founded in 1969 by Brent and Ann Halder, with one vehicle making local grain deliveries. In 1979 they added a second vehicle and the business quickly gained a reputation for delivering a reliable and efficient service. The company continued to expand and today we have 24 vehicles, operating nationwide.
To respond to the growing needs of our customers and changes in agricultural practices, in 1981, we developed storage facilities which now include drying and testing services with a capacity of 46,000 tonnes.
B.I. Halder Today
BI Halder has always had one eye on the future and we’re constantly ready to respond to our customers’ needs. To support this, in 2015 the company undertook a management buyout by Paul and Louise Halder, passing control of the business to the new generation.
Since taking over; Paul and Louise have already introduced a number of improvements, modernising various elements of the business to provide an enhanced and up-to-date service for our customers.
You might have noticed our modern and fresh new livery and new website. We also have new offices and have recruited additional office support staff so that we can continue to provide the outstanding service our customers have come to depend upon.
